Well another NAMM show is behind us. Wow, at this show we were booked every hour for the full 4 days. The gear or musical instruments that I was able to put my hands on was outstanding. Musical instruments were lined up by the mile for all the buyers to see. I was full of optimism as we spoke with our appointments & attendee’s and everyone was excited about this year’s show! There were boutique amplifiers to the finest quality of acoustic guitars and thousands of accessories. The show was outstanding from new technologies being promoted every which way you looked. From pro audio, lighting, staging our core business for over 15 years to all the new musical instrument equipment for which is new to us in 2016. Our new musical instruments department is exciting. We talked with new manufacturers in Hall E that were looking for distribution and we were happy to see the long term veterans showing their latest design ideas. It was amazing for myself to get caught up and looking forward to a huge 2016 with musical instruments contributing to the growth of our company in a large capacity. You must check our WEBSITE regularly as we are constantly adding new products and amazing deals to our robust inventory. The show was absolutely awesome to catch up with old friends and colleagues as well as meet so many new faces within the musical instrument side of the business. Maybe next year you too could be our guest at winter NAMM. I can’t mention all our new vendors but we have vintage gear to the latest technologies about to be listed on our WEBSITE from some of the most amazing brands in the industry. There are also some extraordinary pieces of musical history. The NAMM show was definitely a treat this year and great business for everyone. I look forward to seeing you all soon at the NAMM summer show! CHECK OUT some of our photos from the show.

Fender Custom Shop Blackie Guitar Eric Clapton : In 1970, Eric Clapton was at a crossroads. He had been playing all sorts of guitars, but really wanted to find THE guitar. Eventually, he ended up in the Sho-Bud guitar shop, a small store in Nashville. He found a rack of Strat’s and was astonished at the price – each under $100. He bought 6, gave 3 away – and kept 3. After playing each, he decided to build one “ultimate” guitar out of the 3 combined. The result, nicknamed Blackie, would become one of the most coveted and valuable electric guitars of all time. Recently, Guitar Center purchased Blackie at a Christie’s auction for $959,000 and commissioned their custom shop to re-create a Limited Number of replicas. This is Serial#20026 which i think is #36 of 185 built for sale in N America. This guitar has never been played – only placed on display for all to share. This blackie comes with EVERYTHING that it came with including case, papers, books and the DVD showing how it was born. Own a piece of incredible history!
